Welcome to Where Love Makes Room, a place where foster care, family, faith, and everyday life come together in all their beautiful, messy reality.

I’m Michelle—a foster mom, wife, accounts payable professional, entrepreneur, and believer that love has an incredible way of expanding our hearts far beyond what we thought possible. By day, I work with numbers, processes, and problem-solving. By night, I’m helping with homework, managing a busy household, navigating the unique challenges of foster care, and trying to remember where I left my coffee.

Like many women, I wear a lot of hats. I’ve built a career on organization and efficiency, but life has taught me that some of the most meaningful moments can’t be planned or controlled. Foster care entered our story and changed everything. It stretched our family, deepened our faith, challenged our assumptions, and showed us what it truly means to make room—for children, for healing, for growth, and for unexpected blessings.

This blog was created to share the real side of that journey. Not the perfectly curated version, but the honest one. The victories, the heartbreaks, the laughter, the overwhelming days, and the moments that remind us why we keep showing up.
